After almost a year since our last face to face meeting, it was great to be able to deliver our quarterly Regional Planning and Economic Development Forum on 18th May in person. Attended by the Directors and Managers of Planning and Economic Development across our Member Councils, the Forum provided the opportunity for networking and collaboration between Councils, the Hunter JO team and NSW Government representatives also in attendance.
Importantly, the Forum provided updates on the status of delivery of a range of Hunter JO managed programs, and on key place-based initiatives for the region being delivered by the State Government – the Hunter Regional Plan, Hunter Regional Transport Plan and establishment of the Greater Cities Commission.
