Illegal Dumping Education Campaign

  • February 27, 2024

Over the holiday period, we ran a social media campaign as part of our Illegal Dumping program. This campaign aimed to build community knowledge and awareness about the impacts of illegal dumping, build RID (Report Illegal Dumping) brand awareness, and encourage positive behaviours around waste management.

Over six weeks this campaign reached over one million people and was seen almost three million times. The reach of this campaign has demonstrated a massive success in increasing widespread awareness and community education about illegal dumping in the Hunter and Central Coast region.

The approach towards this campaign was one of positivity, with call-to-action messaging around reducing illegal dumping interspliced with illegal dumping ‘memes.’
