Simtables for Community Empowerment Training 2022

  • May 2, 2022

As a part of our Simtables for Community Empowerment project, the Hunter JO is hosting two Simtable user training sessions for staff from participating Councils and relevant emergency management organisations.

The first of these training sessions, General User Training, was hosted on Wednesday 27 April. This session provided an introduction to the Simtable technology and an overview of how to use the hardware and software components. This session saw around forty attendees, both in person and online, from across our Member Councils, Resilience NSW, and local RFS brigades and SES branches.

Those who participated were introduced the Simtables, the AnyHazard and Clipboard software, and were able to use either the physical table or the online version of the software. Attendees also had the opportunity to discuss how the Simtable can be used across the region going forward.

The second training session, Super User Training, will take place on the Wednesday 4 May. This session will provide advanced training that builds upon the General User Training. Attendees will learn how to use the Simtable to create high quality natural hazard scenarios for effective community engagement.

If you would like to register for the Super User Training, head to our events page today! In person attendance is limited, so early registration is encouraged; however, we will also be running this online. Find out more about the Simtable technology HERE.

If you would like more information about the Simtables training, or would like to attend, please contact Chris Dart, Regional Projects Officer, on chrisd@hunterjo.com.au or 0460 038 197.
