MidCoast Joins Hunter JO's Waste Group

  • September 21, 2022

This month, MidCoast Council joined the Hunter JO’s regional waste program, joining the nine other Member Councils and Central Coast Council. With all Hunter councils now participating in the regional waste program, we are excited to increase our opportunities to collaborate and share knowledge across the region.

We are excited to bring MidCoast into our circular economy and waste programs, to learn from their exciting local initiatives and adding strength to our regional approach to diversification and economic evolution. In joining our regional waste group, MidCoast saw great benefit in working with our waste group on a shared regional perspective.

Representatives from MidCoast Council’s waste team were able to join us for our bimonthly waste strategy group meeting in September. It was a great opportunity to introduce them to the other waste managers across the Hunter and to share their local initiatives.

We look forward to the contribution and value that MidCoast will bring to our waste group!
