Community Recycling Centre - Video Promotion

  • June 29, 2023

We have recently produced and distributed a suite of community recycling centre (CRC) videos that feature CRCs in Cessnock, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Scone, Singleton, and Tuncurry.

These videos aim to educate our communities on the types of materials accepted at CRCs, how to use them, and the benefit of keeping these problem wastes out of our environments. Through social media promotion, these videos have been seen over 800,000 times across our region!

We also produced a video raising awareness about safe battery disposal in light of recent fires caused by lithium-ion batteries.

These videos feature our very own Media and Communications Officer, Kali Somerville, and Senior Projects Coordinator, Chris Dart.

Check them out on our Small Acts Big Change YouTube channel!
