Coastal and Estuary Support Package available just in time for Summer!

  • October 30, 2023

The Hunter JO is pleased to share the Coastal & Estuary Communications Support Package, a resource for Councils of the Hunter and Central Coast to use to educate and create community awareness of coastal hazards and impacts within the region. The Package provides consistent messaging and a regional-scale focus on coastal hazards and impacts in the Hunter and Central Coast Region.

The Coastal & Estuary Communications Support Package includes template key messages, frequently asked questions, factsheets, an image library, and social media content along with guidance for Council officers utilising the Package. We have included both designed examples as well as plain text content, and Councils are encouraged to adapt whichever materials are most appropriate for the intended use and audience.

This Package is a great tool for Council communications and community engagement teams as well as coastal and estuary specialists looking to inform the community about coastal hazards in a regionally consistent and easy-to-interpret way.

The Coastal and Estuary Support Package is available now on our website.
