Congratulations to the Hunter Region Botanic Gardens on 40 incredible years of creating a place for our community to connect with nature, learn and enjoy our region.

Run entirely by volunteers, the Gardens are a remarkable regional community and tourism asset, providing value to people right across the Hunter.

As we look to leverage the opportunities of the new Newcastle International Airport, growing our tourism offering is an important Hunter JO advocacy priority. Just as importantly, places like this strengthen community, connection and liveability, a strategic priority shared by the Hunter’s 10 councils.
