On 12th June our ten Mayors and General Managers came together on a beautiful winter’s day in Muswellbrook at the Donald Horne Building, STEM Innovation Lab, for their bi-monthly Hunter JO Board Meeting.
Agenda highlights included:
- Draft Strategic Plan and 2025/26 Budget
- Updates on key advocacy initiatives
- Insights into global coal transitions
- NSW Disaster Adaptation Planning
- Presentations from EnergyCo and Port of Newcastle
- A tour of Muswellbrook’s cutting-edge STEM and manufacturing facilities
With contributions from our ten member councils across the region, state agencies, and industry partners, the day reflected our shared commitment to a stronger, more sustainable future for the Hunter.
