Simtables Program Development Workshops

  • December 18, 2023

Throughout 2023, the Hunter JO has continued to use Simtables as a valuable tool for community engagement across the Hunter and Central Coast region. This platform has been used to build understanding of disaster risk and the actions that can be taken to improve preparedness and resilience.

Recently, the Simtable has been used to display and examine flood, heat, and canopy cover mapping to build awareness of these hazards and the risks they pose.

The Hunter JO is hosting a Simtable Program Development Workshop on 18 and 19 December. This workshop will bring together Simtable users and program managers from across NSW and Queensland, including Noosa Council, Ku-ring-gai Council, and several other Joint Organisations. The workshop will provide training for Simtable users and develop shared program resources.

To date, the following activities have been delivered:

  • 33 Simtable community workshops or events
  • 12 Simtable demonstrations or user training sessions
  • 7 Simtable loans to project partners

The Hunter JO is available to assist councils and other organisations to develop and deliver Simtable workshops to achieve targeted outcomes. Head to our Simtable program page to learn more about this incredible technology!
