We’ve recently partnered with Newcastle Airport, Hunter Valley Wine Tourism Association, Destination Port Stephens, City of Newcastle, Maitland City Council and Lake Macquarie Council to launch a promotional campaign in QLD encouraging visitors to Venture South to experience our beautiful destination and its variety of coastal, valley and mountain offerings.
This campaign is using videos that were created for our Accelerating Event Economies program that have been re-purposed and made possible with remaining budget from the Department of Regional NSW grant. The original budget has tripled thanks to our collaborating partners, encouraging even more people to visit, and providing an economic stimulus for our region, resulting in local jobs for local people.
We ran a competition with incredible support from our tourism industry offering car hire, luxury accommodation, elevated dining experiences and unforgettable adventures including return flights to Newcastle Airport. This industry collaboration shows that our region is getting ready to receive international visitors when the Newcastle Airport upgrade is completed next year!
