Prioritising Regional Infrastructure

  • August 27, 2021
Regional Priority Infrastructure List

Infrastructure connectivity and prioritisation is a priority focus area for the Hunter JO, underpinning many of the economic and social aspirations included in our Strategic Plan “Aspire.Act.Achieve”.

To further these goals, we recently hosted a workshop with Council staff and other regional stakeholders, to explore challenges and opportunities around prioritising infrastructure on a regional scale, and to gain input to initial design work for a regional infrastructure prioritisation methodology and supporting systems.

This work seeks to ultimately inform development of a Regional Priority Infrastructure List (PIL), to improve regional planning alignment and to underpin more consistent and united efforts by the Hunter JO, member Councils and other regional stakeholders to advocate for and attract resources for priority infrastructure across our region.

Resources from the workshop will be available on the Events page of the Hunter JO website. Click HERE for more information about our Strategic Plan.
