Newcastle Airport connecting us to the world

  • June 30, 2025

Exciting news from Newcastle Airport with two new routes secured including Perth, and our first international service taking off to Bali this year! This is a strong demonstration of the airport’s growth and will be key to building both business and leisure travel.

Newcastle Airport is recognised by the ten councils of the Hunter region as a significant regional asset, delivering greater convenience and opportunity for the community, and creating new jobs across the region. The continued successful growth of an international Newcastle Airport will be fundamental to transforming our region’s economy.

These new services mean locals can now fly directly to the vibrant, culturally rich destinations of Perth and Bali, or locals can ‘Fly the Newy Way’ via Perth or Bali for their next global trip with only the one stop from Newcastle!

This significant milestone is a step forward in positioning the Hunter as a connected and thriving region and making it easier than ever to enjoy a relaxing holiday or adventure abroad without the need to travel to a major city first.

Congratulations to Newcastle Airport and Destination NSW on securing these routes for the region. The future looks bright!
