Join the Hunter Resilience Network

  • October 30, 2023

Want to hear about the latest resilience updates from across the region and collaborate with your Council peers? Join the Hunter Resilience Network!

The Network meets online every two months to hear from guest speakers and share what each Council is currently working on in disaster resilience. It’s a great opportunity to learn from each other and keep up to date with what is happening to ensure our region is as prepared as we can be for the next disaster. We are also planning an in-person catch up early next year, so watch this space!

At our September meeting we heard from the Bureau of Meteorology’s Community Engagement and Hazard Preparedness and Response teams, the Telstra Attentis ‘Councils Connecting Communities Program’ collecting accurate, timely and accessible micro-climate data, and a discussion on heat impacts and how Councils can support their communities this upcoming summer.
