In late September, the Hunter Innovation Festival once again sparked imagination and possibility, exploring the future of our region and beyond.
Across keynotes, interactive workshops, and panel discussions, the program delivered practical insights, forged new connections, and equipped attendees to drive real change.
Key highlights included:
- Our Hunter JO booth igniting conversations and showcasing our work to progress a Circular Economy in the Hunter.
- The Accelerating Low-Carbon Concrete Adoption Hackathon which brought experts together to generate bold ideas, tackle real-world challenges, and accelerate impact
- Breaking barriers to low-carbon concrete and discussing how to make it cheaper, cleaner, and easier to use
We’re proud to be backing innovation that scales across the Hunter through our Circular Procurement for Local Government Project, including an initial focus on supporting the uptake of low carbon concrete. This initiative is funded through the NSW Environment Protection Authority Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy Initiative, funded from the waste levy.
