Hunter Global Summit

  • December 22, 2021

Registrations for our Hunter Global Summit, the next phase of our Hunter Global: Our International Future initiative is now open!

summit

Following on from our November expert roundtable, we are hosting a whole-of-region summit on the 17th and 18th of February 2022 to boost collaboration, planning and advocacy across the entire region to capitalise on the international opportunities that will arise from the Newcastle Airport’s runway upgrade.

The summit will test and refine the priorities identified by the roundtable, and confirm priorities for the region moving forward. The Hunter Global summit will be the platform to motivate and activate the entire region around the opportunities this infrastructure upgrade offers.

Participants from business, government and community sectors are being invited to co-design the development of pathways and mechanisms to leverage the new international air traffic possibilities, determine future needs to help drive demand to the airport, and attract further public and private investment.

The upgrade of the airport runway is a game changer for the Hunter region’s economy. Given this significance, senior politicians and decision makers from all levels of government have been invited to participate.

A detailed program for the event will be released in January.

Don’t miss the opportunity to attend this important event! Register now for the Hunter Global summit HERE. For more information, visit our project page.
