  • March 23, 2021
  • HJO Networks, Hunter JO, Hunter Region, Networking, Regional Economic development forum, regional planning forum

At its February meeting the Hunter JO Board endorsed the establishment of two new regional networks to be convened by the JO;

  1. Regional Economic Development Forum
  2. Regional Planning Forum

These forums engage staff across all ten-member councils, to collaborate and share knowledge on key strategic priorities.

The forums will aim to:

  • Facilitate operational alignment and collaborative design, delivery and resourcing of regional economic development and land use planning strategies and initiatives,
  • Facilitate networking & knowledge sharing between Councils, agencies and other key stakeholders in these regionally important areas; and
  • Provide a consultative forum to assist the JO more effectively represent member Council interests and viewpoints.
