On the 12th of May, the Hunter JO is hosting a Contaminated Land Regional Forum on Problem Contaminants (Asbestos and PFAS) for all Council staff involved in contaminated land management.
This will be a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues in-person, to hear from regulatory and technical experts on asbestos and PFAS, and to share interesting case studies. There is also going to be two interactive panel sessions for Council staff to ask any questions they may have.
We will be joined by speakers and presenters from Local Government NSW (LGNSW), the NSW EPA, various Council staff, and Sydney Airport, among others.

There is also an Asbestos Safety and Management Conference being hosted by the Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency (ASEA) and Blue Mountains City Council (BMCC) focusing on front line asbestos safety management on the 19-20 May.
