Collaboration between RID Squad and Hunter JO

  • May 25, 2021
  • Collaboration, Illegal Dumping, RID

The Hunter & Central Coast Regional Illegal Dumping (RID) Squad and the Hunter JO will be working more closely together over the coming year, as they collaborate to increase the profile of the RID Squad and highlight the important issue of illegal dumping in the region.

In the Hunter region, dumping of household waste, green waste and the use of contaminated fill are serious issues that impact on our environment and communities, with substantial on the spot fines attached to any infringements.

Together, the Hunter JO and the Hunter & Central Coast RID Squad will be launching a Communications and Education Plan, whilst also ramping up online and offline communications about the RID Squad and priority illegal dumping issues.

We look forward to keeping you informed on this collaboration as the project progresses!
