Circulate Expo and Pitch Fest

  • February 18, 2026

This one-day Hunter and Central Coast Region circular economy event was held in February, bringing together government, business, researchers, and investors to discover regional, implementable circular and sustainable solutions. The event was hosted by a range of sponsors, including ourselves, Dantia, Lake Macquarie City Council, University of Newcastle, The Museum of Art and Culture Lake Macquarie, Koopers Inc and Bommerang Labs Australia.

Our Strategic Plan 2035, supports and sets a circular economy vision for the region as we harness our unique strengths to drive economic transformation, build resilience, and enhance community wellbeing for the Hunter Region. The Hunter is a leading circular economy region looking to create new jobs and drive our evolution to the Net Zero economy.

Event highlights included:

  • Circular Economy Expo
  • Live Pitch Fest: Watching finalists pitch their circular economy innovations to a panel of industry leaders, investors, academics, and HJO representatives
  • Panels and Networking
  • Attendee Collaborative Art Piece Commission
