Airport Summit

  • August 27, 2021

As part of the strategic theme of ‘connectivity’, the Hunter JO will be hosting a regional airport summit later this year, demonstrating regional leadership and advocacy.

With the Newcastle Airport developing international connectivity through Federal Government funding for the runway upgrades, there remains an opportunity to leverage this announcement to ensure the delivery of the enhanced capacity and capability of the airport benefits the region.

By supporting the advocacy and planning activities, the Airport Summit will be able to identify knowledge gaps for sectors that will be enabled through this runway upgrade, activate the region to plan for new international air traffic possibilities, increase awareness of regional opportunities, and identify outcomes for key industry, community and government sectors.

Keep an eye out on our website and events page for more details and dates for the Airport Summit.
