2023 has been a very busy year with four new team members coming on board and the commencement of nine new and exciting projects!
We have made significant progress towards embedding proactive advocacy with a successful NSW State election advocacy campaign, multiple ministerial engagements, and aligned advocacy priorities.
We’ve established multiple project and priority focused networks, created educational and promotional videos, and facilitated waste management training for a number of our councils. We launched our Hunter Circular Hub, Events10, our Resilience Integrated Planning & Reporting package, our Coastal and Estuary Support package, and the refreshed Beat the Heat Communications Support package.
Applications opened for our Net Zero Accelerator course – the first net zero course specifically for local government in NSW – and the Hunter JO office building is now 100% renewable, purchasing 100% GreenPower as of September.
