Hunter Circular

Discover the Hunter Circular website, an initiative of the Hunter Joint Organisation, designed to support councils and the community in crafting a circular economy across the Hunter and Central Coast region. Hunter Circular is dedicated in showcasing case studies, teaching tools, videos and best practice resources to reflect how to practice circular economy principles.

Education and community resources include:

  • ReUse Hunter, a community led map connecting individuals to repair, donation, hire and upcycling services to become part of the circular ecosystem via supporting businesses in your LGA.

  • Community Recycling Centers connecting residents to drop off locations for items such as paint, batteries, oils and offer a practical assess to circular practices.

Council / industry resources include:

  • The Circular Ecosystem Directory, a library that connects Hunter Circular’s past and foundational work with key external resources essential for the development of the circular economy in the Hunter and Central Coast region.

  • Circular Economy Roadmap which applies real examples across sectors such as construction, textiles and organics, aligning to industry and government efforts towards shared circular goals.
