New Hunter JO branding and website are illustrative of this diverse, vibrant and energetic region

  • June 9, 2020

In line with the Hunter JO’s Communications Strategy, and the review of branding and communications completed in 2019, an updated brand and website for the organisation has been developed. Another key outcome of this review is that we are able to meet Action Item 1.1 in the Hunter JO Strategic Plan; to ‘Develop an engaging online presence which tells the story of the diverse places and people which make up the Hunter Region’.

Both the colours and the illustration are representative of the past, present and the future, they are our promise to recognise all that makes us unique and continue to deliver a vibrant and energetic region for our communities.

The illustration

The organic, natural flowing shape of the circular logo illustration is a very loose representation of the Hunter Region, indicating the coming together in collaboration and the holistic solution that is an outcome of regional unity.

The colours

The new branding colour palette represents the vibrant, energetic and diverse landscape and nature of the Hunter Region; from the greens of the mountains and farmlands to brilliant blue skies, the rich purples of the signature Shiraz grapes, with beaches and sand dunes, harbours, lakes and, at times, crisp golden grasses upon red dirt. The strong red hues also reference the bustling metropolitan areas which have become key drivers in our regional economic sustainability.

New website

This website has moved to a simplified format to be easily updated and maintained and seeks to provide stakeholders and communities with clear and consistent messaging about what the Hunter Joint Organisation is working on.
