Salary: up to $59,410 (+11.5% superannuation)

The Hunter Joint Organisation (Hunter JO) is the statutory organisation of the ten Councils of the Hunter region of New South Wales that facilitates the collaborative delivery of strategic advocacy and program outcomes for the entire region.
The Sustainability Project Officer – Cadetship Program position is a key support role in the organisation, in which you will support and learn how to manage projects that help shape and advance the shared advocacy priorities for the region. The role will:
- Provide support services to our advocacy and capacity building programs, including being rotated through our projects to gain maximum learning opportunities.
- Work closely with and learn from our expert project delivery team.
- Support stakeholder engagement processes; research and analysis; and project planning, coordination and delivery.
- Provide support services to a wide range of external stakeholders including member Councils, State Government agencies, research institutions, business and community groups.

- Regional strategic planning and priority setting
- Intergovernmental collaboration
- Shared regional leadership and advocacy.
